"Boastful yet elegant. Ripe cherry, red currant, and raspberry are bold and juicy on the nose, with rich, peppery earth and bitter chocolate. On the palate, it is fruit-forward and fresh, supple yet dry, and deeply satisfying. Tannins are medium-plus, but suede-like, and the finish is long, with chalky mineral and leathery, earthy spice. This wine simply makes me happy. Pair with nearly anything you desire: pepperoni pizza, buttery mushroom pasta, grilled pork chops, seared steaks, etc. I'd say you can hang onto it for a half-dozen years or so, but I can't imagine any of it lingering that long. Bright and easy."
