The following are the most frequently asked questions Ancona's Wine has heard from its users. If you have a question or would like to tell us about a great bottle of wine, please Contact Ancona's Wine, we're interested in hearing from you.
Q. What products does offer?
A. is your source for thousands of wonderful wines from around the world. We also offer a large selection of craft brews and handcrafted spirits.
Q. Are you a “real” store?
A. Family owned since 1933, Ancona's Wines & Liquors has been in the retail wine business for over 80 years. You can visit us at one of our three convenient locations in Ridgefield (2), CT or Wilton, CT.
Q. Is my order in stock?
A. All of the items we offer on our site we stock in our store. We can generally fill short orders in 1-2 business days. If we can't fill an order completely, we will let you know ASAP (again usually in 1-2 business days).


Q. Is my information safe?
A. Yes. Our web site is SSL secure and we never pass your information on to an outside company. Your information is only used to process your order in the most efficient manner possible. Our checkout section is secure and this can be seen in your browser bar by the "https", representing a secure transaction.
Q. Can I cancel an order or return it?
A. Any order may be canceled prior to shipping. If an order has already shipped, then you must proceed with our return process to send it back and receive your refund.


Q. Will you hold an order due to weather?
A. Absolutely. We will hold your order as long as you want in our cellar at no extra charge. We reserve the right to hold orders if we feel the weather in our local area will damage the order. We will let you know via email that we are doing so. We will not hold an order based on where it is being shipped. Please let us know when you place your order if you would like us to hold it due to the weather (or any other reasons). You can type your hold request in the "special instructions" portion of our order page.
Q. How will I know when my order has shipped?
A. Once an order is shipped, we will send an email confirmation of this to the email provided in your order. This email will contain the tracking information.
Q. 375mL vs 750mL
A. Please note that we offer several different sizes of products on our site. At times there has been confusion over 375ml vs 750ml. 375ml is considered a half bottle. 750ml is considered a full bottle of the normal size when pertaining to wine. Please note that all orders will be shipped as ordered.
