"An old favorite. Colline de l’Hirondelle is the passion project of Jennifer Buck and Didier Ferrier. Jen and Didier visit the states almost every year and over time we’ve become buddies. Jen grew up a Westport native although she now lives in the village of Douzens in the Corbieres region of Languedoc-Roussillon where Didier was born and raised. Together they farm 20 Hectares organically. Oiseau is their flagship wine. 70% Grenache. 20% Carignan. 10% Syrah. Which comes together for the prefect balance of dusty-tannined red and black fruit. You will see. Jen writes, 'Since we started converting the vineyards to organic farming we have seen birds and insects return and the soils slowly come back to life. We can also harvest delicious wild arugula and other lettuces in the vineyards, which in itself is reason enough for me to go organic.'"
