Rose blossoms gathered in the early summer from the prairie rose, Rosa Rugosa, are combined with the fall harvest of rose hip fruit and fermented with orange blossom honey. As a semi-sweet mead the floral rose scent is nicely conveyed with the citrus and astringent complexity of the rose hip. Very drinkable, pleasant rose scent, not overly perfumey. --Meadery Notes
