"Ancona's Cuvee I is a collaborative project between Liquid Farm of Santa Barbara and Ancona's. It's not a secret: Ancona's loves Liquid Farm. There are few producers of Chardonnay in California that are able to express terroir and minerality like these guys. LF has been producing wine since 2009. This is one of those places where you keep thinking that the wines can't get any better, and then the new vintage comes out and the wines reach a new pinnacle. Ancona's I is a blend of just two barrels of old vine Bien Nacido fruit. The wine was made just for us. And we couldn't be more thrilled to share the end product. This wine is driven by citrus oil, golden apple, lemon cream, stone, and acute flinty mineral. At some moments it reminds me more of a Chablis, and at other moments more like a Meursault. Just two barrels made."
