"Le Battistelle is a classic example of a family making delicious quality wine (at a reasonable cost of entry) that formerly sold to the local co-op, but have turned their hand to winemaking. It's not been more than 20 years since Gelmino and Cristina Dal Bosco last sold their grapes. The neighborhood of Brognoligo is home to many of the finest cru's of Soave Classico including Castellaro, which the Battistelle Vineyard is a part of. The Montesei is a total joy--marked by crisp green apples, cream, and whispy, lifted minerality. A flawless accompaniment for cream sauces, shrimp, pasta, and the like."
