"Wow. I. Am. Smitten. This juice at this cost of entry is a thing of dreams. No surprise. Young gun Jeremy Quastana studied under Marcel Lapierre--one of my favorite producers of Gamay in France and one of the great old guard producers of Beaujolais. Jeremy though is based in the Loire. This is mostly Gamay with just a dollop of Cot--which is the local moniker for Malbec (but of course, please forget everything you know about Mendoza Malbec). This is as wholesome as they come: modest alcohol, organic, and yes indeed natural. What you get is loaded with cranberries, mushrooms, cinnamon, black tea, and a delightful stoniness that dances across the palate. Just a few hundred cases were produced. Pair it with simple delicious things: smoked salmon, brie smeared on a freshly baked baguette, or herb-roasted chicken."
