"Juicy, succulent red and black currant are powerfully bright and fresh on the nose, with just a lick of candied dried cherry, damp earth, delicate herbs, and field-dried wildflowers. Absolutely thrilling on the palate, the tart currant and black cherry carry a silky texture that gives the impression of featherweight lightness despite the wine's medium plus body. Tannins are moderate, and very fine; harkening to the classic "Rutherford dust". The finish is juicy, earthy, and mouthwatering, demanding another sip. This is the kind of wine that reminds you what great wine can taste like. Drink one this weekend with a porterhouse off the grill, or lay a few down for a decade or more. A bright and suprisingly lifted 14.5% abv.."
