Organic and Biodynamic
"Lucio and Fiorella Canestrari founded Fattoria Coroncino in 1981 for one reason: Verdicchio. The couple also began farming organically back in the 1980s, in order to best show off their grape of choice and the terroir of their Marche DOC (coincidentally in the Italian province of Ancona). Today, their son Valerio handles the winemaking with the same care and enthusiasm for Verdicchio as his parents, and it shows in this bottle. The wine is full-bodied and lush with notes of stone fruit and creamy almond, but good acidity and crisp minerality that borders on savory keep it from drinking like a fruit bomb. This drinks easy enough to pair with whatever you've got on the grill, but it can also age quite beautifully."
