"Attention Sancerre lovers. How about a class act Loire Valley Sauvignon Blanc? This farmer-made Sauvignon is produced by sister and brother team Maryline and Francois Desloges. Their vineyard is located in a neighborhood of the Touraine, “Cher et Loir”. That’s not a typo. Confusingly, Loir is a tributary to the Loire. (I know…I just can’t). These vines are planted on sandy flit which instills the wine’s tree fruit profile with an irresistible mineral gait. Green apple, limes, smoky mineral, and fresh cream. Sustainable. Certified Organic. Certified delicious. I’ll put it up against a $30 Sancerre any day. I’d also put it up against fresh greens, crab salad, and goat cheese."
