"Domaine des Sanzay represents an extensive history of farming and winemaking across five generations of vignerons. While we’ve sold the domaine’s red wine from Saumur-Champigny for many years—their white wine is a new addition for Ancona’s. The vineyard itself is comprised of 30-year-old vines planted on limestone clay. This is textbook dry Chenin Blanc flaunting all the hallmarks that you read about in the textbooks: orchard fruit, wool, waxiness, and a flinty minerality (wet matches). I recommend you pair it with rich river fish, cream-based entrees, and ham and cheese."
