"Totally proper Muscadet. Way ahead of their time, Domaine de la Bregeonette has been farming organically since 1967 which is pretty unusual in the grand scheme of farming. The wines are farmed using indigenous yeast and represent one of the greatest values in the region. Crunchy green apples punctuated by crushed seashells, fresh cream, sea salt and whispers of clove, pineapple, and citrus oil. On the palate--pleasantly tart but easily palatable thanks to edges rounded by time on the lees. Pair it up not just with freshly shucked oysters but Perch, Salmon, and chilled shrimp."
