"A little piece of paradise nestled between the hubs of Cape Town and Tygeberg, the De Grendel estate has been under vine since the early 1700s. This rendition offers high-tone ripeness while retaining balance and poise: notes of green apple, pink grapefruit, lemongrass and key lime are counterbalanced by minerality and creaminess. After harvest, this wine spent six hours on its skins and an additional 80 on its lees (yeast); the end result offers distinct creaminess and more stuffing than your average Sauvignon Blanc. Pair it up with some goat cheese, crab cakes or calamari."
