On the nose, the 1994 flaunts a rich amalgamation potent cassis, wild black berries, and black cherries all entertwined with a complex tertiary bouquet driven by mushrooms, truffles, cedar, antique leather, cigar box, roasted herbs, and subtle nuances of green bell pepper and eucalyptus. On the palate it is flawlessly resolved--offering an undercurfrent of supple tannin and freshness. Storage is everything and tasting this wine at 26 years of age--it's clear that it's been very well taken care of, and serves a a testament to why it's worth aging wine in the first place. 13%"
