"Over the past few years Camp has steadily become a staple in the Ancona's Chardonnay and Cabernet sections. Until now I never knew there was a Merlot. Kenny Lakitprakong is the founder and mastermind behind 'Hobo Wine', the parent of 'Camp' wines. That might make 'Hobo Wine' sound like a big corporate operation, but it's really not. While Kenny isn't making wine, he can often be found riding a skateboard around a parking lot. And it turns out this guy makes delicious Merlot. Yep, I said it. This rendition of America's most misunderstood grape is delightfully crunchy, tangy and balanced with the essences of black pepper, black cherry, and just a dusting of tannin. Kenny has captured all of the things I like about Merlot and none of the brooding pruney tones that I don't."
