"A very serious representation of Dolcetto d'Alba--the Boasso capture is stacked with black raspberry, sour black cherry, dry dusty earth, mushrooms and a subtle integration of herbs, cola and black tea. Beneath the fruit is a considerable but fine layer of velvety tannin. The finish is long. Hard to believe this doesn't come to market at least a tick or two higher in price. There are hints in its structure that it was executed by a masterful Barolo hand. What a stunning little gem to partner with pizza, pasta, risotto, or a good eggplant parmesan. No need to get too fancy but a quick decant certainly would only enhance this Piedmontese delight. Drink now and over the next half decade."
