Ancona’s Annex: Slovenia and Croatia with Vinum USA On Thursday March 7th, we’re eager to kick off the Annex season with a tour of Croatia and Slovenia with special guest Ilya Shchukin, owner of Vinum USA. Illya started Vinum as a side hustle, and one step at a time he’s built the company into the single most significant importer of wines from Southeastern Europe.
The variety of wines in this portfolio is simply stunning and includes rare and esoteric grape varieties, wine of every color, and a distinct emphasis on Organic, Biodynamic, and Natural. If you’re curious to learn about new wine regions, grape varieties, and taste some orange wine—this evening is for you.
