“A lighter, floral, yet structured example of Fleurie, Bertrand’s Cuvee Du Chaos comes from 80-110 year old vines grown in decomposed granite. After undergoing carbonic maceration, the wine spends 9 months in large, neutral barrels. While light in body, the bright, juicy wine is built on firm yet delicate tannins. Made without sulfites, it exhibits just the tiniest bit of savory, earthy funk that swims just behind the pure and concentrated fruit. A clean, modern take on classic, soulful Cru Beaujolais.”
