"This is class act Gruner from the Kamptal. Hirschvergnugen literally translates to 'hirsch pleasure', and having poured a glass myself I have to contend that this wine delivers as promised. Grown on limestone/clay, fremented in stainless steel, and bottled fresh -- this rendition of Gruner Veltliner is light on its feet but laced with concentrated flavors: cool crisp citrus, green apple, white pepper, and crushed sea shells. I long to pair it with shellfish on the patio on a warm summer afternoon. Johannes Hirsch converted to organics in 2006 and, along with Ott, is one of the founding members of 'Respekt' -- a Biodynamic certification created as an alternative to Demeter."
