"This spunky Sicilian white comes from Acate on Sicily's eastern coast. The grape variety is 'Grillo', a crisp aromatic type that historically became widespread in Sicily for its use in Marsala (along with its sisters Inzolia and Catarratto) -- bear in mind though that this wine has little else to do with Marsala and the wine in the bottle bears no resemblance (rest assured, you won't find any oxidation here!). There is some substantial peachy richness here. Ultimately, the wine is quite dry, but imagine a whisper of peach pie, peach blossom, and wildflowers. I really quite like this -- and the finish continues to deliver. Pair it with tempura, risotto, or goat cheese."
