"Produced from 95% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Cab Franc, the Ultraviolet is built on a firm chassis of volcanic fruit from the red hills area located due east of St. Helena and bolstered with a dollop of Cabernet Franc from Coombsville at the heart of Napa Valley. A combination of quality farming and conscientious winemaking coalesce to produce a Cali cab with balance and clarity. Sometimes a glass of Cali Cab can either leave you feel like you just ate a meal, or leave you feeling like you need a meal--this is neither--but it's built to accompany food at the table and play a supporting role. Quite a bit of crunch here: graphite, and black olive, and tea. Freshness rather than weight but still some grit to pair flawlessly with a steak or a burger. It's hard to imagine this won't become a staple in the Ancona’s Cab section for many years to come."
