Rodica Malvazija is a dry, aromatic white from the picturesque Istria region in the far Southwest of Slovenia. This territory offers a mild Mediterranean climate with warm dry summers and mild winters--a perfect environment to raise Malvasia. Of all esoteric grapes, this is a variety that most certainly gets far less attention than it deserves and its perfect for the season that's upon us: cured lemons, wild flowers, and a distinctive minerality are layered upon a structure that is fresh and sprightly.
