"This is a red blend from Turkey--and believe it or not, it turns out Pasaeli produces a pretty convincing Bordeaux look-alike. This wine was a standout in a recent sample tasting session with the Ancona's Staff. A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cab Franc, Merlot, and Petit Verdot--K2 is driven by concentrated brambly black fruit/cassis. For a medium-plus bodied blend--there is quite a bit of stuffing here--the tannins are quite firm. Pair with roasted red meat: particularly lamb, sausage, etc."
