Palacio De Fefinanes Albarino (750ml)
"Bodegas del Palacio de Fefinanes has been mastering the craft of Albarino production for nearly 100 years, so it's no wonder their wines represent a benchmark for the grape variety. In fact, this particular wine was first made in 1928 -- that's 5 years before prohibition was lifted and the Anconas started selling wine and sprits. A true pioneer. And their wine in bottle today is as classic as ever. Fermented in stainless steel, this is driven by flavors of limey mineral zest, crush seashell, pear, and whispers of lemon skin and pine resin. Fefinanes recommends using this wine 'as an aperitif or with seafood, fish dishes or cheese. Also with Asian cuisine, beef or tuna tartar', and that sounds pretty good to me. I know I'd like a nice cold glass with a plate of green olives and razor clams."
