"Vibrant tart cherries, wild strawberries, and dried fig with subtle toasted coconut and vanilla, and leathery earth showing its graceful aging. On the palate, the wine is fascinatingly fresh, with lively acidity despite the developed fruit character. Toasty flavors of oak show a bit more on the palate, but are still reserved, along with a tamari-like umami. Medium tannins are fine and silky, adding a gentle grip to the medium body. The finish is long and evolving as flavors shift from bright, tart fruit, to spice and earth, to perfumed, dried fruit. An adventure on its own, Tondonia Reserva is the perfect partner to grilled herbed lamb, but will pair just as nicely with nearly any braise, stew, or roast you could dream up. 13%"
