"On the nose this is pure Dutraive seduction: black raspberry truffles, cherry liqueur, black tea, fresh garden mint, eucalyptus, cranberry bog, crushed stones, and strawberry cream. If all of this sounds heavy--well, it's not. This is pure and concentrated but very light on its feet. On the palate: crunchy cranberries combine with, ripe cherry, and a distinctly yeasty note which is present in many of the Dutraive wines. This is natural wine in its raw form. The structure is built around a base of firm, fine-grained tannins. This wine is perfectly open but will stick around for the long-haul. Drink over the next 8-10 years--maybe longer."
