"The vineyard is junior in Hermitage, it developed fairly recently in its southern part formerly devoted to fruit crops. Crozes-Hermitage was consecrated Local AOC in 1937.
Floors: in the north, granite slopes in response to those of the Hermitage; south, alluvium and outwash terraces of the Rhone pebbles or loess. Climate: full southern exposure in hillsides."
