"The 2014 Haut-Segottes is a sheer class act. Open and ready--punching well above it's weight class. This is a luxurious wine of rich complexity, terroir, and pure Bordelais class. On the nose: textbook Saint-Emilion. Black tea, cedar, crushed leaves, spices, gravel, wood smoke, herbs, and mushrooms. On the palate,it's all copious layers of cherries laced with sous bois, and spice. Danielle Meunier uses remarkably small percentages of new oak barrels which just adds transparency. This is a ridiculously good drink right now but has at least a good 8-10 years ahead of it. Maybe more."
