"Brea wines are made by Chris Brockway at Broc Cellars in California. Although Chris typically focuses on sourcing great fruit from vineyards all over California with a particular interest in unhearalded workhorse varieties--Brea is a showcase of the popular international varieties: Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. The Cab is sourced from Margarita Vineyard in Paso Robles and wow, this is my kinda Paso Cab. Well rounded, cool-fruited, and surprisingly, remarkably glugable for the variety. Mouthwatering black cherry, vanilla, tea, and cherry spice amalgamate--draped on a structure of fine, juicy tannin that is impeccably 'ready' and satisfying. Pair it up against your finer cuts of steak or a good burger, veggie burger, and the like."
