"This is red Vinho Verde -- something that I've read about in textbooks but haven't tasted, until now. The wine is made by Fernando Paiva who was the first winemaker to become fully Demeter Certified Biodynamic in all of Portugal. The grape varieties in this blend include: Vinhao, Bastardo, Borracal, Arinto, 15% Loureiro -- of which Arinto and Loureiro are actually white grapes, which help to freshen up the blend. And this might be one of the most crushable wines I've tasted this year. The wine is vinified naturally, using indigenous yeast and no sulfur whatsoever. Drink it grillside with a slight chill -- say 40-50 minutes in the fridge for peak crushability."
