"This is impeccable. It leads with a classical syrah nose, driven by an amalgamation of the freshly cracked black peppercorn, black olive tapenade, wood smoke, iron, smoked meat, and crushed stone--all the nostalgic trappings of its old guard counterparts from across the pond. On the palate, even more of all these things…there is some weight here but it’s not overbearing nor overblown with alcohol but cool, crisp, and spectacularly textured. Besides the aromas, the texture makes this wine. And one can’t help but wonder if it's the unique outcome from this wine’s triple origin blend. On the back end this is long, layered, and ultimately leaves you thirsty for more. Here is a wine that tests the boundaries of what is possible. 13.2%"
