"This charming little white from the Southern Rhone is based on Vermentino and Grenache Blanc with small inclusions of Clairette, Ugni Blanc, Rousanne, Marsanne, and Viognier. It is fermented and aged mostly in concrete prior to 9 months in totally neutral oak barrels. Vermentino is of course much more famous for the role that it plays in Northern and central Italy but it also often plays a minor supporting role in Southern France where it is known locally as “Rolle”. The wine is clean, crisp and soulful—driven by tree fruit, wildflowers, and chalky mineral--offering just the little extra weight you’re looking for in the winter months. Pair it up with herb roasted chicken, cream dishes and cow’s milk cheeses."
