The Anima Mundi "Gres" is just firing on all cylinders: although this wine is built on a chassis of complex tree fruit, fresh herbs, savory roasted herbs, grapefruit oil, and cured lemon—it’s most distinguishing component is the unmistakable thumbprint of the vineyard that its farmed on: a shameless mineral on mineral gait surprisingly reminiscent of the great Meursaults of Jean Marc Roulot—if you’re not fluent in White Burgundy: what I mean is positively drenched in the subtle essence of musket flint, match stick, and pulverized limestone core. A perfect accompaniment for the traditional tapas spread with a focus on the ocean: muscles, razor clams, boquerones, gambas, and the like. 12%"
