"Juicy blackberries, ripe raspberries and strawberries, rich, dark earth, and dried herbs are bold, yet beautifully balanced aromas. On the palate, the summer berries are tart and lush at the same time, and meaty, peppery notes reveal themselves to balance the deep fruit. Leathery tannins are just a pinch over medium, but quite fine, making this wine incredibly approachable, yet still well-structured enough for red wine lovers, with its remarkable balance showing best at cellar temperature. An excellent, if obvious pairing for red meat, I also love this wine with cheese and charcuterie, herb-cured olives, and sea salt focaccia. 13.5%"
