Ramazzotti Amaro

Awesome Amaro

Save 20% on this Delicious Digestif

Let's face it, there's a good chance that many of us will eat just a smidge too much this coming Turkey Day.

Fret not my full belly friends... we have the perfect "nightcap" that was created over 100 years ago for this exact situation. Let us introduce you to

Ramazzotti Amaro

As usual, you can skip the heavy reading click HERE for LIB Season 1, Episode 35 to find out why we love this Amaro.

What's it all about-

Amaro (Italian for "bitter") is an Italian herbal liqueur that is commonly consumed as an after-dinner digestivo*. It usually has a bitter-sweet flavor.

*The digestif—or digestivo, in Italy—is a category of after-dinner alcoholic drinks believed to help kick-start digestion and settle the stomach.

Amaro is typically drunk neat, sometimes with a citrus wedge. (I like it chilled)

Ramazzotti is the oldest genuine "House of Amaro", founded in Milan in 1815 by Ausano Ramazzotti

Ausano created the Amaro formula in his small laboratory in Milan in 1815. Even though the recipe is still secret today, we know it has a perfect blend of 33 aromatic herbs & roots, never changed over 2 centuries, with no coloring or artificial additives. Its most distinctive flavors are sweet oranges, cinchona, rhubarb and star anise for its unique and inimitable flavor.

I LOVE amaros.... I took this pic this morning.... it's of my downstairs fridge.... note the three amaros front and center. I drink amaro on a regular basis.

The Ramazotti will be on that shelf as soon as we're done with the video shoot.

My tasting notes: Clear, dark brown color... CRAZY intricate nose, cola, clove, quinine, bitter orange, black licorice... you pick up something new with every sniff... velvety soft but dense mouth feel.... again, super complex flavors.... dark chocolate, raisins, coffee, licorice, cola.... lingering aftertaste... so good!

A little different offer this week.... you can purchase this awesome amaro online by clicking on the BUY NOW button bellow OR you can stop by any of our three locations and buy a bottle at the sale price. You'll find it on display near the front counter in each store.

Happy Turkey Day!

-Mitch
