RVNA Give Back Day Part II

Time sure does fly. We can't believe it's been a whole year since we celebrated the grand opening of our third store in the center of Ridgefield with our dear friends at RVNA. To celebrate our 1 year anniversary we're throwing a little "party" on 4/20 in our Ridgefield center location. There will be all sorts of delicious products to taste throughout the day.

Taconic Distillery Will Be In The House!

Our friend, Gerald Valenti (co-founder of Taconic) will be pouring samples fro 3-6 pm.

Taconic Distillery, established in 2013, is a purveyor of fine craft spirits located in the Hudson Valley of New York. "We handcraft our award-winning bourbon and rye whiskies in small batches using the finest ingredients, including grains grown in New York and natural spring water from our farm." 

Inspired by hunting and fishing, Taconic embraces a passion for the outdoors and that passion is imprinted on all our spirits.

Gerry’s role at Taconic Distillery is a culmination of his studies in Engineering and a lifetime love of the science of food and beverage. Paul and Gerry’s interest in the outdoors and a simpler organic way of life was instrumental in forming a friendship that seeded the idea of Taconic Distillery.

City Steam Brewing

Geoff Smith, Beer Ambassador from City Steam Brewery will be pouring some killer ales from 3-6pm.

My Brother From Another Mother, Mark Ancona, will be sampling his wares from 3-6pm.

We’re pleased to welcome Mark Ancona of Golden Vines. This is one gent that has seen all aspects of the wine business. Mark cut his teeth working in the wild west of wine retail, sourcing wines from all over the world for a prominent shop in London, England. Over the past couple decades, Mark has curated his own small portfolio of producers, focused around France, many of which are farming organically. He’s teamed up with Golden Vines, a NY-based importer to bring us a well-rounded portfolio packed with excellent value form all over the Old World. 

The Man, Myth, Legend.... Peter Slywka pouring nothing but "pink" from 3-6pm.

Peter Slywka is the Connecticut State Manager for Skurnik Wines, one of the most reliable, rich, and diverse collections of wine that we have to shop from. Skurnik Wine’s partnership with Terry Thiese has guaranteed them access to perhaps the single most comprehensive import portfolio’s of Austrian and German wines in the US. This is especially good news when warmer temperatures hits, nothing quenches the thirst like Austrian Rosé, German Rosé, and German Riesling.
