"Distilled from Connecticut-grown grains, it noses first with rich butterscotch and caramel popcorn, backed by supple, creamy vanilla and toasted cinnamon stick. The texture is lush and soft, coating the palate. The finish, while not exceptionally long, is replete with the incense of smokey baking spice, with a whisper of maple. At 92 proof, it drinks easily neat, but becomes even more expressive with a drop of spring water, and strikes me as the perfect whiskey for an Old-Fashioned."
