"Graves is a sub-region of the Bordeaux wine region in south-western France. The name is derived from the area's gravel soils which helps create a distinctive profile for both the red and white wines. Two thirds of Graves wine is white and they are generally fresh, fruity and dry. Chateau Haut Selve is both crisp and soft, with an attractive perfumed character layered with fresh flavors, lively acidity, and a hint of vanilla. This is finely balanced and a perfect match with lobster, grilled fish, veal, or Roquefort chesse."~(Monica McCall)
