Growing up in Minnesota amongst corn fields and cows with a father in the produce business helped me learn about agriculture and appreciate fresh food.  My career started in the food and beverage industry working for Pillsbury and Pepsi in marketing and sales.  Then, I took a sideways turn into the giant pharmaceutical industry.  After many years, I decided that I truly wanted to follow my passion of wine and food. I love to cook and I love to eat homemade meals accompanied by a delicious glass of wine.  I spent 3 years immersing myself in the study of wine.  I am a Certified Specialist of Wine earned from the Society of Wine Educators and I have an advanced certification from Wine and Spirits Education Trust.  Because  wine is such a diverse agricultural product with thousands of combinations of styles and characteristics, the studying and learning is ongoing. I am currently working on becoming a Certified Wine Educator as well as earning a Diploma.  I can honestly say that I love coming to work every day!
