Codey is a genuine wine geek. Since he turned 21 in 2010 he has pursued his passion for wine. He graduated from Sarah Lawrence College in May of 2011 and shortly there after completed his Sommelier Certification with Sommelier Society of America and his Level 1 with the Court of Master Sommeliers. On weekends he teaches an introductory wine certification class with the National Bartenders School. Some of his favorite wines include White Burgundy, Red Burgundy (he has a soft sport for Volnay), Champagne (especially from the Veuve Clicquot Ponsardin and Laurent Perrier houses), Priorat, German Riesling, and White Bordeaux. He also takes great pride in local and regional production including wines from Connecticut, the Finger Lakes, and North Fork Long Island. Codey divides his time between writing wine content for the Ancona's Wines website and blog and helping customers on the floor in the Ridgefield and Wilton stores. He also teaches some of the wine classes offered in our Ridgefield store.
