If It's Not Scottish It's CRAP!
When you read "Product of Scotland" on a beer lable you probably think the brew is going to be a mass produced malt driven Scottish ale that has little or nothing in common with the hop laden craft beers made here in the states. Brew Dog's beers will change your thinking with the first sip. (In fact we have all of the Brew Dog beers in the craft US section of our cooler) Started in 2007 by two 24 year old Scots, brew Dog has now grown to 67 employees that help brew over 26,000HL of beer (roughly 22,000 barrels) all with one simple mission: "to make other people as passionate about great craft beer as we are". If you're a craft beer fan than it's a safe bet that you'll enjoy one of Brew Dog's offerings. My personal favorite is their Punk IPA. it pours a rusty pale orange with off-white lacy head. Nice notes of pineapple and citrus on the nose.... this fruit is reflected on the palate as well but is joined by a clean line of piney hops, all of which is built on a slab of solid malt.
