Anconaswine.com is your source for thousands of wonderful wines from around the world. We also offer a large selection of craft brews.
Are you a “real” store?
Our family has been in the retail wine business for over 80 years. We’ve had a “brick and mortar” store in its current location for over 35 years.
Is my order in stock?
All of the items we offer on our site we stock in our store. Occasionally we will have to order more of a product to fill an order. We can generally fill short orders in 1-2 business days. If we can't fill an order completely, we will let you know ASAP (again usually in 1-2 business days) We reserve the right to ship an order short if an item or vintage is no longer available to us.
Is my information safe?
Yes. Our web site is SSL secure and we never pass your information on to an outside company. Your information is only used to process your order in the most efficient manner possible. Our checkout section is secure and this can be seen in your browser bar by the "https", representing a secure transaction. We never store your credit card information.
When will my credit card be charged?
Your credit card will not be charged until your order is complete and ready to be shipped.
Can I cancel an order or return it?
Any order may be canceled prior to shipping. If an order has already shipped, then you must proceed with our return process to send it back and receive your refund.
We offer several expedited shipping options including overnight. Please realize that it takes between 6 and 48 hours to process an order depending on when we receive the order (orders placed Fridays will not ship until the following Tuesday or Wednesday). Overnight deliveries are not guaranteed to arrive to you within 24 hours.
Will you hold an order due to weather?
We will hold your order as long as you want at no extra charge. We reserve the right to hold orders if we feel the weather in our local area will damage the order. We will let you know via email that we are doing so. We will not hold an order based on where it is being shipped. Please let us know when you place your order if you would like us to hold it due to the weather (or any other reasons). You can type your hold request in the "special instructions" portion of our order page.
How will I know when my order has shipped?
Once an order is shipped, we will send an email confirmation of this to the email provided in your order. This email will contain the tracking information.
How long does it take for an order to arrive?
Depending on where you live, it will take between one and seven business days to receive your order. In cases of a backorder, delivery time may be delayed and we will inform you of this ASAP.
375ml VS 750ml
Please note that we offer several different sizes of products on our site. At times there has been confusion over 375ml vs 750ml. 375ml is considered a half bottle. 750ml is considered a full bottle of the normal size when pertaining to wine. Please note that all orders will be shipped as ordered.
What does vintage substitution mean?
Every effort is made to display accurate vintages on our wines, however sometimes we may be out of the vintage listed and have the opportunity to recommend another vintage of the same wine. You have the opportunity to accept this recommendation or not by Allowing Vintage Substitutions.
How do I return all or part of an order?
Returns are quite simple and are accepted within 10 business days of when you receive your order. Your satisfaction is our primary goal. If for some reason you have received the wrong product (i.e. wrong vintage or product that does not match the product description when ordered) we will gladly issue a full refund within 3 days of receiving the product(s) back from you. If an order is canceled after packaging you will be refunded the total order amount less 10% for re-stocking. If an order is returned to us because it could not be delivered to the address provided to us from you, you will be charged a second delivery fee if you still want the order. If an order is returned to us because it could not be delivered to the address provided to us from you and you cancel your order you will be refunded the total order amount less the shipping fee and less 10% of the order total for re-stocking.
Shipping charges are the responsibility of the shipper. Please ship your order back in the original container you received it in. Ship it with the carrier of your choice such as UPS or FEDEX. Since the item is your responsibility until it arrives to our warehouse, you may decide to add insurance to your shipment through the carrier. This is usually a minimal charge and protects you against possible loss or damage during transit.

Please provide us with the tracking number so that we may track your return and issue a refund when it is received. Refunds will be issued to the original form of payment.
We reserve the right to refuse any return if the item arrives damaged or the item arrives beyond the ten day return period.
